Anyone interested in joining the Carrollton Avenue Listserv e mail me and I will include you on the list.
There we can discuss what is going on with development and what we can do to encourage better design on and near Carrollton Avenue.

Do you have more info on exactly where that is? I don’t see the cross streets on the map.

The cross street is Palm. This square is where the old Firestone and the strip mall that contained Wig World used to be. It is right next to the Self-Storage Facitily, which is right next to the Post Office on Carrollton, which is right next to the Waldo Burton Boys Home.

But… this would be a blatant violation of the Carrollton Zoning Overlay. They’ll need lots of variances and the Council Rep for that area (Midura) should ascertain whether these variances are in accord with neighborhood plans and community desires.

Ed B, It would be a more efficient use of time energy and resources if these plans were vetted before the CPC report was presented and accepted. That way issues could be worked out before it came before Council.
Unfortunatly that was not the case with this site plan.
The developer knows we are not happy with these plans.

Perhaps you could provide the name of the developer. Where have his or her campaign contributions been going lately?
