Helm is one of those places that always makes me glad to support. They are eager to help, and they’re nice as hell. Another argument for avoiding the big boxes. Glad they’re pitching in.

Thanks Helm! If you need hands to hold hold the brushes, (and help paint) I’m there. You know where to find me!

can we arrange a “paint party” one sunday for the church and the lion pedistals at the front of pritchard? I have been dying to get rid of the water lines on our neighborhood landmark.

Lisa, I am waiting on Permission from the Archdiocese to paint. In the meantime I will go see about Paint for the Lions and I would love to arrange a Lion Cleaning Party

There has got to be something else we can do to stop this filthy graffiti on everything from individual homes to CHURCHES. If this continues, I am moving. I am sick of exercising futile attempts to educate thugs and scum to a level where they have no desire to be. I think this is the final straw. Our family renovated and made HUGE improvements to our home, yet we still deal with urban issues that are coming back in mass forces that are far too large for a neighborhood association to conquer. We never had a thug paint our church with assinine graffiti. Our old gang of thugs only shot each other. I can’t help but be very angry to be pushed out of my lovely home, only to have to spend 600k on a house in a “safe” neigborhood. I am sick and tired. I see no change, I cannot support failure. Good luck to you all. –Robyn Flanery
